We all had a great day today as we celebrate the birthday of my only (younger) sister, Matet (Ann Michelle). After twenty five years, she’s still the same cool younger sister who loves to cook and eat. But today, my Dad prepared the dishes that she likes through the years, and one of them is Kare-kare.

She likes it the creamy way. My sister loves to eat this with sauteed spicy bagoong. Check out the other picture below for a closer look.

I love kare-kare! Even if one doesn’t really taste great by itself, sometimes a good bagoong will help save it.
