A Great Way To Pack More Flavor Into Foods

If you’d like to intensify the flavor of the foods you’re eating, you might want to try using a charcoal water smoker. In many respects, they’re quite a lot like charcoal barbecues in the way you set them up outside.

But barbecuing isn’t nearly as effective in boosting the smokiness of the foods you cook. And it all comes down to the style of cooking and how these devices are put together. For example, there’s the meco 5030.

In terms of appearance, it looks similar to a black drum with a close-fitting and rounded lid. And two small doors are fitted to the side which slide open: the first opens up to where the water pan is positioned, and the second provides access to the charcoal.

The idea is to create a hot and smokey environment inside the drum. Once this has been achieved, food is then left on a grill to both cook and soak up the aroma of the smoke.

When using something like the meco 5030 electric grill and combination water smoker, the intention is to cook food relatively slowly. So it’s not unusual to smoke large meats and poultry for up to hours at a time. Obviously, the more time a food is left, the smokier it’s likely to become.

And it’s not just meats, poultry and seafood that can be smoked either. You’re free to experiment with things like nuts, cheeses and seeds as well.

And one of the most exciting elements is that you can also vary the flavors of the smoke you produce too. So instead of sticking to just charcoal, you can sample different woods on a meco water smoker as well. Maple, oak, beech and hickory are just a few options you can choose from to enrich the flavor. Moreover, there’s a whole range of other fruit trees to select wood chips from.

If you have room outside to use a charcoal water smoker, then you have free reign to produce a really exciting combination of flavors.
