I just watched an episode of Rescue 911 in Youtube minutes ago about someone who risks his life to prevent a pregnant lady from getting hit by a car. I admire his courage and character for doing so.

This has happened long time ago. And if someone knows Milton personally and get to this blog entry (who knows…), kindly let him know that he is really one great guy. Hope he is well and still love to work with people around him.

Lumpia Wrapper Secret

Do you eat Lumpia? Lumpia is a finger food, consists of vegetables like carrot, onion, monggo bean sprouts enclosed in a flour-based wrapper.

Aside from that, the so called ‘lumpia wrapper‘ is used in other Filipino food like Turon, with saba banana slices coated in sugar as filling and the ever famous spring roll or what we call as ‘Lumpiang Shanghai’

The Biggest Loser Pinoy Edition is about to start, thanks for bringing it here in the Philippines ABS CBN.

I bet you know someone who might be interested in joining this ala Big Brother setup. So have your saving device handy and check out these details for the Biggest Loser Pinoy Edition Requirements:

Must be Pinoy
Male – 18 to 40 years old, in good health, 250 pounds and above
Female – 18 to 40 years old, in good health, 200 pounds and above

Make sure to bring the following:

Valid ID
Close up and whole body picture

If you already have those handy, head on to these venues to audition following this list of The Biggest Loser Pinoy Edition Schedule:

July 9 – PBB Activity Area
July 16 – Metro Town Mall, Tarlac

This is what happens with creative minds. On the Maury show, a guest complained how her best friend is allegedly seducing him by serving some Chicken Tetrazzini.

Of course the next scene was all about confrontation and such. But I don’t want to dwell there because what I want to let you see is the remix that a genius made out of the video. Check it out and be amazed.

Iron Chef America: Milk and Cream Battle

Here’s a youtube video of Iron Chef America and I just love it so much because they made use of my favorite secret ingredients: milk and cream.

I can say that I have never been an avid viewer of this, but I am so amazed everytime I watch videos of Iron Chef America on Youtube. That is why I am surprised when xskillsx101 said something like this:

The chefs are given a list of possible secret ingredients, from which they plan their meals and request special ingredients for the producers to purchase. In addition, the secret ingredient is revealed to the chefs 15 minutes before the actual battle begins. So, it’s not totally on the spot, they have thought about it before and they do have some time to? discuss their meals. But it is still tough!

Isn’t it supposed to be a surprise? Can someone tell me if that is true or not, especially if you are an avid Iron Chef America viewer.

Maury: Angel Has Found Her Father

I was really touched by this clip from the Maury’s show. Kim asked for Maury’s help in controlling her teen Angel from her promiscuous behavior. She came to the show not once, but twice.

I am not a mother yet, but I can feel her mother’s suffering and so I understand why she needs other people’s help. Angel really came to the show as herself then, displaying a distasteful behavior her mom dislikes.

After almost two encounters on the show, Angel already turned her life around and now got a surprise of her life. Her dad was on Maury’s show and wanted to be reunited with Angel. I cried over watching this clip, because Angel has found peace in changing for the best and have found the missing piece of her life.

Popped Corn in Imbestigador (Investigator)

A local investigative program zeroed their operation in one of the manufacturers of popped corn or ‘cornick’ to the Filipinos. They monitored this subject manufacturer because they are operating on below quality in terms of cleanliness and sanitation standards.

Personally, I like what they are doing to expose these things. The public has the right to know these information and modus operandi. Also, the public deserves to eat a clean food because they shelled out cash for it. Check out the video after the jump and let me know what you think.

Earn 50K in your Own Backyard

I am watching ‘Kalye‘ (Road), one of ABS-CBN’s public affairs programs. I found one of their topics blog worthy so I would like to share it with you.

The topic was all about people from the provinces who settle in Metro Manila, hoping to find some greener pastures. They are claiming that there’s no hope to earn money if you are in the province.

This notion was denied by some of their ‘subjects’ who is now earning more than 50K by planting crops and vegetables on their 1,500 square meter farm. Some even make money from their own backyard. The segment showed some of the properties that they got out of their efforts working in the backyard.

See, you can still earn more like a call center manager in the Metro only if you know how to maximize your talent and resources, without leaving your backyard. And that’s what I can consider as a real ‘greener pasture’.
